About the event:
The Forum will bring together leading scientists from the Institut Pasteur in Paris, several institutes of the Pasteur Network — including those in Senegal, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, and Cameroon — as well as prominent Brazilian institutions. The meeting will foster the exchange of experiences and the joint development of solutions for major global health challenges.

Focusing on topics such as epidemiology, climate change, emerging diseases, and public health, the event underscores a commitment to collaborative and international science. Officially part of the “France–Brazil Year 2025,” the Forum will be preceded by a Summer School in the Amazon, held from October 11 to 19, during which 15 selected students will take part in fieldwork and laboratory training at the IPSP. Their findings and experiences will be shared at the Forum, adding a fresh and transformative perspective to the discussions.

With a dynamic program — including oral presentations, roundtable sessions, and interdisciplinary debates — the Forum aims to stimulate dialogue among researchers, policymakers, and scientific institutions, expanding cooperation networks and advancing innovative strategies to address present and future global health challenges.
