The 2024 Pasteur Network Annual Meeting will be held in Rio de Janeiro from October 21 to 23. The event, co-organized with the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), will bring together scientists from more than 30 Pasteur Network research institutes, as well as international experts. The main objective is to discuss solutions to global health challenges, such as the impact of climate change on infectious diseases, epidemic preparedness, and the advancement of innovative diagnostics and therapies.
The event will offer a diverse program, with workshops and discussion sessions focused on central public health topics, such as the response to mpox and the avian flu epidemics; innovations in diagnostic and treatment; equity in vaccine access; maternal health and gender issues; and the role of artificial intelligence in health research. These discussions are aligned with the strategic vision of the Pasteur Network which aims to strengthen epidemic response capacity, promote equitable collaboration and drive sustainable development in global health research.
